Studies of Photography

The course consists of a combination of units from the following courses:

Operational Requirements

The operational requirements are:

  • Students who complete units of study selected from both Photography and Specialised Photography to form a Studies of Photography Minor, Major, Major Minor, or Double Major.
  • One Independent Study unit may be included in this course. An Independent study unit can be proposed by an individual student for their own study and negotiated with their teacher. An Independent study unit requires the principal’s written approval. The program of learning for an Independent study unit must meet all the content descriptions as appears in the course. Independent study units are only available to individual students in Year 12. Pre-requisites for an Independent study unit are that students have completed at least THREE standard 1.0 units from Photography and Specialised Photography.
  • Colleges must be aware of policies concerning transfer of units and whole courses (refer section 4.3.5.2.2 Units in Other Courses) to another course and policies relating to moderation scaling groups. (Refer section 5.4.1 Course Combination into Moderation Scaling Groups)
  • The above requirements must be clearly identified in student handbooks.
